At Atlantis Dental, we believe the most powerful proof of what we do isn’t in fancy words or ads — it’s in the hearts and smiles of our patients. That’s why we’re proud to share that we now have over 200 patient video testimonials available on YouTube.

These are real people.

With real stories.

And real transformations

  • Some of them came in afraid to smile.
  • Some hadn’t been to the dentist in years.
  • Others were in pain or embarrassed about their teeth.

But today? They’re beaming with confidence.

And what’s even more beautiful — they were so happy with their experience, they stepped in front of the camera to share their journey and help others take that same first step

It’s one of the most common questions we hear — and it’s a fair one. Most people think dental pain is the only sign that something’s wrong. But the truth is, gum disease is usually silent until it’s in its advanced stages. By the time there’s pain or loose teeth, it may already be too late to reverse the damage. Here’s what really happens — and why deep cleanings are so important, even if your teeth feel fine.

I know this heat wave has been especially intense — one of the toughest Massachusetts has seen in a long time. So I wanted to personally check in and share a few quick wellness tips to help you stay safe, hydrated, and keep your smile healthy during this time. Here are my top tips for surviving the heat wave (and protecting your teeth at the same time): 1. Stay hydrated — even indoors! Dehydration can sneak up on you, especially if you’re in air conditioning all day. Dry mouth caused by dehydration can lead to bad breath and cavities, so drink water regularly even if you’re not sweating. 2. Avoid sugary and fizzy drinks Sodas, energy drinks, and sweetened iced teas can actually dehydrate you more. And while sparkling water counts as water, its carbonic acid can wear down your enamel if consumed too frequently. 3. Snack on hydrating foods Watermelon, cucumbers, oranges, and strawberries are all water-rich and support your overall health and hydration. 4. Don’t chew ice It might be tempting, but ice can crack your teeth or damage fillings. 5. Use SPF lip balm Don’t forget to protect your lips — especially the lower one. It’s the most prone to sunburn and long-term damage. 6. Get your Vitamin D naturally Just 10 minutes of sunlight a day (without sunscreen) can give you your daily dose of Vitamin D, which helps reduce inflammation in your gums and supports strong bones and immunity. 7. If your mouth feels dry, switch to an alcohol-free rinse It can soothe irritation and protect your enamel. I hope you’re staying cool, safe, and smiling. If you need help with dry mouth, tooth sensitivity, or just want to schedule a visit — we’re always here for you. Take care of yourself — and your smile!
