Ask the Invisalign Expert: Does my dental insurance pay for Invisalign
Dr. Naqvi: And it's that time again. The ask the expert time and I have a special question for Dan.

Dr. Naqvi: So Dan is an expert with dental insurance, especially with insurance for orthodontics.
And one of the biggest questions I hear form patients is, will my insurance cover this and how much is the coverage going to be and what am I going to get the check.
So you wanna answer those questions.
Dan: Sure, so insurance a lot of times does cover some portion of it.
Say if you have a $1000, it could be up to maybe $2500. And the way that it works is that you would pay us, whether you do a financing or you swipe a card or pay out of pocket.
However you decide to do it and then when the trays actually come in and we give you the first tray, that's when insurance tells us to bill that, because that's when that time
Dr. Naqvi: to send the claim electronically to the insurance
Dan: exactly when your teeth start to move, that's when they start processing your claim.
And then as they process it, they either do a lump sum payment of your maximum or they do quarterly or monthly payments.
So we'll be getting some money in the mail from insurance, which is always a plus
Dr. Naqvi:
Oh! that's nice to get that
Dan:
Yeah, right
Dr. Naqvi:
How long do they normally take to process that claim?
Dan: 30 days. 30 business days. So if they don't process it in 30 days, if they don't process in 30 days we have a team that follows up with insurance just to make sure you're getting the full benefit that you have.
Dr. Naqvi:
